How it works

You don’t get dealt a hand.
You shoot one.

Every shooter fires at the same poker target from 1,000 yards. You call a card, and if you hit it, it goes in your hand. Seven rounds, and your best five cards are your score.

01

Build your hand

You get seven rounds. Call a card, hit it, and it’s yours. Your best five cards make your hand.

02

Read the wind

At 1,000 yards, wind and mirage move your bullet more than anything else. Pick the card you need, make your wind call, and send it.

03

Take the table

Five shooters compete at each table. The strongest hand earned on target wins, and a natural hand always outranks a Joker-assisted hand. Every shooter fires on the same Birchwood Casey poker target, with all 54 cards, Jokers included, printed in the same spot on every target. You call your cards and earn them with your hits.

Three names from the
Old West card table.

The theme comes from three men who were as well known at the card table as they were with a gun. We borrowed the names and the look. The match itself is about wind calls and clean hits at 1,000 yards.
